Frequently Asked Questions About FCG

  • WHERE DO I PARK? FCG's main lot has limited parking. There is an additional lot that can be accessed via Myrtle Street, which is off center street. Check out a map of our lot here. The pathway from the parking lot to FCG is fully lit and under 24 hour surveillance. There is no street parking in front of the Gym.
  • WHAT IS YOUR REGISTRATION FEE? Our registration fee is $30 for the year (September - August). By becoming a registered member you will receive discounts to open gym and special events at FCG. Your paid FCG membership fee can be applied to membership fees at the Boys & Girls Club of Bristol Family Center's main Clubhouse and if you have a membership with the Boys & Girls Club, your FCG registration fee will be waived.
    • WHAT IS YOUR WEATHER POLICY? We follow closing decisions made by the Bristol Public Schools. Class cancellations will be posted on our Facebook Page and Instagram. Any class cancellations will also be communicated via email. 
    • WHAT IS PROPER CLASS ATTIRE? Gymnasts should dress in comfortable, fitted clothing or a leotard. Please no jewelry or baggy clothing. Gymnasts hair should be tied back.
    • CAN I REGISTER ONLINE? Unfortunately, no. You can however print our our  yearly registration forms online here and email, mail, or fax them FCG . If emailing forms, please scan and attach as a PDF. Screenshots will not be accepted. In person registration is available during our desk hours.

    • DO I NEED TO SEND MY GYMNAST TO CLASS WITH ANYTHINGWe ask that all gymnasts come to class with a water bottle and a bag to keep all belongings in during class. Our gym unfortunately does not have a water fountain. We have water available for sale at our Snack Shack.
    • DO I NEED TO STAY AT THE GYM WHILE MY CHILD IS IN CLASS? Parents are not required to, but are welcome to stay at the gym while class is in session. We ask that you keep the spectator limit to 2 per athlete. Parents are welcome to wait in their car during class or return for pick up. Smoking is not allowed on FCG property.
    • ARE YOU OPEN ON HOLIDAYS? We are closed on all major holidays. If your class falls on a holiday, it will be credited or made up at the end of the session. We are open for Holiday Vacation Skills Clubs during December and April.
    • ARE THERE SPECIAL THEMES EACH WEEK? Yes! Each week of class we offer a fun different theme for our members to participate in or focus on. Weekly schedules will be emailed prior to the class session and posted on the notice wall in the lobby.
    • DO YOU OFFER DISCOUNTS FOR MULTIPLE SIBLINGS? Yes! It is our pleasure to offer sibling discounts (15% off each sibling class price).
    • DO YOU OFFER DISCOUNTS IF YOU SIGN UP FOR MULTIPLE CLASSES? Yes! We offer 15% off multiple classes and are happy to set up payment plans for our members upon request.
    • DO YOU OFFER OPEN GYM? At this time we are unable to offer open gym, we hope to bring it back soon!
    • CAN I HAVE MY CHILD'S BIRTHDAY PARTY AT FCG? Absolutely! Our gym is available for two hour parties on Saturdays and Sundays! Check out more Birthday Party information here.
    • DO YOU OFFER SNACKS FOR GYMNASTS?  Our gym has a Snack Shack where parents can pre-pay for gymnasts to purchase snacks or water through their Snack Shack account. They will not have to handle money while at the gym.
